I think you nailed it! It is why we write. I believe you are correct, it IS a interesting topic for dialogue. I think I'll try to kick up some dialogue with some of the non-believers (in PTSD) I happen to know. :-) What would be cool (I think) is to have writer's forum/panel on the topic of trauma writing.
