Another Night in Hell

In the night, I feel my heart begin to race, as I pace the floors of my house.

I feel the sweat soak my shirt.

I cry when I see your face.

You’re still only a shadow of a figure to me.

I wish I could take your place.

How sad your mother must be.

It’s been so long, but it will always be today for me.

I watched as you fell.

There was no sound, as I stepped into hell.
